Eco-Friendly Since the Beginning

Givecars.com has been environmentally conscious since its inception about a decade ago, so much so that we initiated a Recycling Program as an addition to our Charity Car Donation Program soon after we started picking up cars when we discovered that many Americans cannot gain a benefit from a tax deduction. By using the Recycle Program not only do you receive the free pickup but you also receive a free benefits package instead of a tax deduction. Of course most folks still use the donation program.

We're also endeavoring to get more and more salvage companies to work with us so we can dispose of cars that aren't even worth selling. We will be expanding this service as time goes on.

Vehicle Donation to Protect the Environment

Beautify your environment by ridding it of that old unwanted car or automobile. There are many ways to protect and improve the environment through our recycling or donation program. How does the donation or recycling program work to protect and improve the environment? Here are some interesting observations regarding your old unused or seldom used vehicle taking up space in the environment versus using the recycling program or making a donation:

1. An unused vehicle usually collects dirt and dust and so becomes an eye sore in the environment or a continuous hassle for the owner to keep it clean.
   
2. Often it becomes a target for vandalism and/or theft if it can still be driven.
   
3. Its battery will rapidly spoil and go bad. Which is another waste. Additionally batteries are a waste hazard as well.
   
4. Gasoline and other fluids go bad it becomes undriveable after sitting for long periods of time.
   
5. When you do drive the seldom used vehicle it generally will emit more air pollution due to the condition of sitting for long periods.
   
6. Perhaps someone else could put it to good use?
   
7. It is a problem to the owner because of the above and because of the hassle of trying to sell it.
   
8. According to the Steel Recycling Institute, every ton of steel we recycle saves 2,500 pounds of iron ore, 1,400 pounds of coal and 120 pounds of limestone.

The Answer

The simple answer is to use our recycling program or donation program.

1. Vehicle removal is done very fast. Sometimes the same day but usually within one to two business days.
   
2. The pickup is not a cost for the vehicle donor. It is FREE!
   
3. The paper work involved is usually as simple as signing the Certificate of Title.
   
4. The owner is rid of the problem.
   
5. The owner gets a tax deduction, if qualified, or can use the recycling program for other benefits if not qualified for a tax benefit.
   
6. The environment looks better.
   
7. The donated vehicle usually gets used by someone else.
   
8. The Charity program is benefited and thus so are children.
   
9. The future is better for all.
