1. What about junk cars and old cars?
Every car, automobile or vehicle that is donated is evaluated before accepted for donation. By actual survey we pick up more older vehicles than any other charity that we are aware of. We do not have fixed criteria, like we will not pick up a vehicle manufactured before 1992 or anything like that. We pick up cars of any age. It really depends on the condition of the vehicle, its location and its evaluated worth.
Some people, in order to avoid the hassle of selling a car will just junk the car. Sometimes these cars that are junked still have good value. So it is always good to check with us before you junk your old vehicle.
Generally we do not pick up vehicles for parts. The exception would be newer vehicles. Some rather new vehicles that have been in an accident can be picked up and sold for parts and that is good.

2. What happens to your old or used car donation?
Well that is another factor. When you dispose of your car it is sold to a dealer. The dealer, of course, will resell the vehicle and often fixes it up first. And this procedure impacts the environment by recycling used cars. We believe this vehicle disposal process to be beneficial to everyone involved.

The environment benefits. You can benefit with a tax deduction or use the recycling program. And again, most importantly, many children will benefit.
Your used vehicle can buy a lot of teddy bears and there are police, fire and ambulance officials all over the United States now that want these bears to give to children in moments of stress.

4. What if I am not eligible to receive a tax deduction because I do not itemize deductions?
The answer is the recycling program. You can recycle your automobile or any vehicle. Your car will still be picked up at no cost to you.
