Dear Executive Director:

Thank you for the box of teddy bears that you recently sent to our Department.
We are very happy that you have chosen to include us in your "Teddy Bear Program" to
help us ease traumatic, frightening situations that arise with children in our community.
We, too, believe that the teddy bears can be effective in the way of easing trauma shock,
and brutality among children.

We can assure you that the teddy bears will be used during traumatic times, which
might come upon children in our area. The bears will surely be a delight to brighten up
the eyes of children who may have been traumatized in some way. In the past, we have distributed the bears to children who may have been victims of accidents, sexual assault, or domestic violence.We have found the bears to be very helpful.

Again, we sincerely appreciate your support and generosity in sharing the teddy bears with the Suffolk Police Department.
