Dear Executive Director

It is with great pleasure that I writing you and your organization for the teddy bears given to us. Even though in a University environment there are those we encounter who are traumatized and have benefited from receiving the teddy bear .

There are occasions where officers do become involved with youths and the teddy bears have made a different in calming down both the adult and the child.

Just today, May 5, 2002, doing commencement an officer saw a child that was crying, and in the officer's opinion excessively. The officer walked over and gave that child a teddy bear .If you could have witnessed that child' s face, upon receiving the bear, it gave us joy knowing that the child will probably always cherish that bear.

As a law enforcement agency that has seen the benefits of the Teddy Bear Program, we sincerely request that your organization again extend your kindness and send us additional bears.
