Dear Staff & Volunteers,

I would like to thank all of you for including our department in your 'Teddy Bear" program. They have arrived safely and will be put into immediate use. I can recall several instances from the past when a small furry friend would have made a tremendous difference in calming the situation down.

Currently I am the School Resource Officer in five elementary schools. I also teach DARE to the fIfth graders of my district. I have been given "custody" of your bears. I will be glad to pass along to you any of our success stories involving my new charges.

It is refreshing to find a program willing to help first responders make a difference with our little people. On behalf of my entire department, thank you. Your efforts are appreciated .
