	Dear Executive Director:
	Our commanding officer, Captain Guida gave the initial shipment of teddy bears to me. I work in the domestic violence unit of the 88 precinct. At first I didn't really appreciate them but then as I became more intimately involved with my families, the teddy bears were welcomed by the children in the families, big and small.
	Thank you for such a wonderful program. and would love to get some more. I'm all out of bears.

	PS I visited a home where the an had been assaulted by her live-in boyfriend in front of children. She has three sons aged 1 year to 7 years and I had a bear for each. I took pictures of the mother and got a more complete statement while the boys occupied themselves with your kind gift. It was smiles all around when I left.
