Over the years man has developed a feeling of suspicion when presented something that appears to good to be true. This is evident in the field of charities and donations.
Some but not all have a feeling of concern and worry when it comes to making an online car donation. This is to be expected as man has been betrayed by his fellow man countless times.
Although fraudulent charities exist they are in the minority compared to all of the hard working dedicated organizations and volunteers who make it their purpose to improve conditions and help their fellow man.
So take a moment and read some of the stories below from Police and Fire Officials who have seen first hand the sincerity and kindness of charities.:
From a Fire Chief: We received your Teddy Bears, and we appreciate your donation. I will personally see to it that the Bears are placed in our 5 ambulances.
We have been giving out Teddy Bears, and it is heartwarming to see the children’s eyes light up when they receive a Bear after an accident. We do have a problem getting Bears for this project and appreciate your donation and would like your support in the future.
From a Fire Department: On behalf of the Chief and the Fire Department I want to express to you our thanks for the Teddy Bears you were kind enough to send to us.
We will carry them in our vehicles and give them out to children in disaster situations. I know that they will bring a smile to a real sad face.
The real joy would come if we never had a child in such a situation.

From a Dept. of Police Services: On behalf of the Police Division's Personal Crimes Unit, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to you and the members of your association, for your donation of teddy bears to the Police Division.
The Personal Crimes Unit investigates physical abuse, sexual abuse and neglect cases involving juvenile victims. These children often have very little in their lives to make them feel special and loved. The teddy bears we received from your Teddy Bear Program will be used with these victims of abuse in our city.
From another Dept. of Police Services: would like to take a moment to acknowledge receipt of the 'Teddy Bears' provided by your organization. Those of us in law enforcement know all too well that oft times our contact with citizens happen during crisis or trauma situations. The results of these interactions may produce profound and life long effects on people, none more so, than the very young.
The ability to shift the focus away from trauma may go a long way in alleviating long-term repercussions. This also offers our officers the ability to do something positive and in an immediate and non-threatening manner.
From a Chief of Police: Thank you for the generous donation of Teddy Bears for our police department. As a law enforcement agency we unfortunately see too many children who have been victimized, witnesses to a traumatic incident or have suffered the death of a beloved family member. The bears will help aid our Victim Services Unit with bringing some comfort to the children.
