Sometimes you just want to know what is going to happen in the process.

Here is the fast simple donation process detailed for you step-by-step.

  1. You fully fill out a car donation form and it gets
    sent to us.
  2. We receive it and evaluate whether or not
    we can accept your car or vehicle. If we can we email you the instructions.
  3. Later that day we send you the phone
    number of the Towing Auction Facility so
    you can coordinate pickup with them.
  4. You coordinate the pickup.
  5. After you vehicle has been sold we will send the official tax receipt.

Here is a more detailed explanation of the donate car process:

  1. Fill out the Online Form completely. To speed up the process please be very thorough when you fill out the donate car form. Put all pertinent information in each box required. If we receive all of the information we can immediately start the pickup process.
  2. Be sure to accurately put in your current email address.
  3. If you need a very fast pickup please state that on the car donation form.
  4. Submit the form by pressing the enter key or by clicking on the submit button at the bottom of the page.
  5. You will first receive a automated response to let you know we have received the donate form.
  6. At this same time the email consultant will send you the thorough but simple email instructions. This is sent in an html email format and this could be blocked as spam. So if you do not receive your email instructions please send us an email to notify us of this.
  7. Another reason that you might not receive the online donation instructions is if the email address was incorrectly put on the form.
  8. You should read these instructions as soon as you receive them as there is very important information for you to know. Donating an automobile is not something most people do every day so it is important to take a couple minutes and thoroughly read the instructions. This will save you and the charity time in the future.
  9. If you have any questions after reading the donate car instructions or if you feel there are any problems that may come up please email the consultant right away.
  10. If there is any vital information missing from your donation form the email consultant will send you a return email to get the needed information.
  11. If for any reason your vehicle is not accepted you will be notified of this at this time.
  12. If your car donation form is complete it will be immediately forwarded to the administrative office and then sent to the receiving area of the nationwide towing service.
  13. All correspondence from us is LIVE. There is no automated response beyond the initial acknowledgement of receipt of the donate form.
  14. We do not own or operate the towing/auction company.
  15. Communications with us are done by email. Communications with the towing/auction facility are done by phone.
  16. We will send you the phone number for the towing/auction company and the LOT NUMBER assigned to your vehicle.
  17. The towing/auction company may contact you by phone before you receive their number from us.
  18. Be sure to write down their telephone number and your vehicle's lot number so that you can contact them for any needed coordination of the pickup of your donated car.
  19. Certain questions peculiar to your state (like title questions and license plate or insurance questions) are best addressed to the Title Department at the towing/auction company as they are right there and know the answers.
  20. It usually takes one to two business days for your vehicle to be picked up. Sometimes it is the same day.
  21. Due to restrictions in the new tax law of 2005 the charity (official 501 (c) (3) charity) will send the tax receipt after the vehicle has been sold. If you do not receive the receipt in 45 to 60 days you should email us or fill out the Tax Receipt Request Form which you can find in our online instructions.
  22. We now provide a convenient donate car tax receipt request form that you can fill out once your vehicle is picked up.
