1. What boats must be registered?

Every motorboat, principally used in North Dakota, that is powered by any motor (including electric motors) must be registered with the Game and Fish Department.

2. What fees are there for registering my boat?

Registration period is from January 1, 2005, thru December 31, 2007. Fees are prorated.

Motorboats under sixteen feet in length and all canoes regardless of length, powered by a motor - $12.00

Motorboats sixteen feet in length and over but shorter than twenty feet in length, excluding canoes - $24.00

Motorboats twenty feet in length or over, excluding canoes - $33.00
