What vehicles do and do not need to be titled in Alabama?

Alabama requires titles on the following types of vehicles:

• 1975 or newer for motorized vehicles
• 1975 for motorcycles
• 1975 for motor homes
• 1975 for utility trailers
• 1975 for pop-up campers
• 1975 for horse trailers ö Customer preference
• 1990 for manufactured homes
• 1990 for travel trailers
  
  

The following types of vehicles do NOT require a title:

• Boats
• Boat Trailers
• Horse Trailers
